We are currently in the heart of exam season, whether you're studying for your GCSE's, A Levels or you are at university, you need to make sure that you are fully equipped for all of the eventualities that you might face in your exam. When undergoing an exam there are usually strict guidelines on what items you can take into the exam hall so it's important to read up beforehand on what is required. Exam season is stressful enough with revision, so we have made life easier for all of you and compiled a top 10 list of all of the exam essentials needed to ace your exams!
#1. Number one is the calculator. You can never go into a maths calculator exam without one, otherwise you will never be able to answer any of the questions.
This calculator is perfect as it offers a wide range of more scientific algorithms in order for you to do your best on the calculator exam. However, take the lid off in the exam, so that there is no chance of you using it to cheat!
#2. Number 2 is obvious, it's a pen. Without a pen, you cannot do the exam, because the machines that scan in answers, (sometimes, most of the time it is an examiner, but better safe than sorry), cannot actually read your answers. Therefore, you will get no marks.
#3. Number 3 might be quite obvious as well, but it's a pencil. Without this, you will be stumped in a maths exam if you need to draw something, (questions like this are generally only in maths exams, but they can appear in other exams as well.
These are perfect just in case you need another pencil mid-exam.
#4. This is another essential for maths exams, and sometimes other exams as well, a ruler. Without a ruler, straight lines cannot be drawn, so you cannot do some of the questions. The questions may only be 1 or 2 marks, but in the end, that 1 mark could be the difference between two grades. A might be 54 marks, but because you did not have a ruler, you got a B with 53 marks.
#5. This one might also be obvious, but it is surprising how many marks are lost in exams because people did not have the rubber to get rid of simple mistakes. It's a rubber.
#6. This one is also very useful for maths exams, because without these, you can miss out on some pretty high marks, 3-4 marks. They look like triangles, but can be used for angles along with the protractor.
#7. This can be very useful for highlighting useful points in the questions. Highlighters can save you a lot of time when working out a large mark question. You can use them to pick out useful parts of the questions, and leave out the rest of the question which is usually there to confuse you.
#8. This one is useful, but only if you use pencils. The sharpener. Then you can always make sure that the pencils are sharp and ready to go.
#9. This is most of these combined, with an added bonus. In the exam guidelines, you are required to have a clear pencil case, so that no cheating occurs. This one is perfect, as it contains all of the different requirements in one purchase.
Buy this and the highlighters and you are all set for the exam! (And maybe the scientific calculator.)
#10. A handy extra for pens, would be this rubber pen, which allows you to remove ink off of the paper, which could save all of the crossing out, and make your exams easier to read.
